September 15/18

Happy Fall Everyone,
Please mark your calendars for this year’s 10th annual Harvest Festival happening on Friday, September 28th from 9:00- 1:30pm.

This year’s event will include all the usual stations such as the Harvest Display and tasting, Garden Work Bee, live music by Eldorado Hoedown and square dancing, zucchini races, apple pressing and bicycle smoothies, face painting, farm animals and games. Pony rides for kids are also back by popular demand as well as a pie bake-off!

We encourage you to enter the Harvest Display/Competition and the Pie Bake-Off (see categories on poster attached and in the Valley Voice) and bring entries to Lucerne School either on Thursday the 27th before 5:00pm or before 9:00am on Friday the 28th. All large, beautiful or interesting fruits and vegetables are welcome! Items for the tasting table are also greatly appreciated!

The students of Lucerne will also be involved in a Cooking Challenge, each picking three random local ingredients around which to base a creative culinary creation!

At 12:30pm soup from the garden and bread from the cob oven will be served free to all!
We need lots of volunteer help with set-up and clean-up, in the garden and in soup and bread making.  We also need judges.
Please reply to this message if you might be able to help out on the day or call Julia at 358-2745.

Looking forward to seeing you at this heart-warming fall fair event!
